Description
This image is a combination of my face print, along with feathers, and rags. Colored pencils, glazing and some photoshopping completed the image. The original print was from a series based on the 12 fragments of the Gilgamesh legend. I interpreted it using Native American images with my face as the base of the designs. It fascinated me that the 12 fragments could tell a different story depending on the order they were read.
I see this as a version of what we do when we tell others about our life and the the stories we use to illustrate it. The original is long gone. The stories are not.
