It may be an expression of seeing the light versus the dark... I don't know... but whatever it is, I love the bold approach.

Dale... I simply can't add to what Clivv and Marlene have already said except to say I agree completely. Nice work!

Cliff and Marlene, thanks. In a wild explosion of optimism and freedom from post surgery pain I just threw myself into eight canvases using only the need to just paint. Some work, some don't (and I am not sure I know the difference), but it certainly helped move to the next step in the journey.

a removal of what is not needed....ah...cliff nailed it....such a tough posture, but a necessary one well used by many of us. this time cliff beat me to it! your sense of balance, dale is so well honed...in all, the masses, the color, the treatment..i could go on, but i'd be gushing.

Dale, What can I say except that this is beautiful. I love different shades of blacks into black, black and yellow my favorite combo and using both ends of the brush, which I think you might have done here.... If I my say so, these last few paintings you've done are the epitome of abstract painting, the removal of what is not needed, a difficult choice sometimes........
